So it's one of those nights of the year bargain, this is back to crap weather, and hopefully Ocean City is drier, but this vlog is going to be another delay to sort out things. But the vlog is below.
The admin catch-up day
Another wet plan on this part meant for m,e it's just feeling groggy, and also the time of more depression for some, but mfor e it was another day and also it was the fact with work being hectic and so many fucking orders it's just causing me to freeze up and not be able to get what I need to do done. I really feel good at some of the things now.
But the morning was not too bad, minus more phone calls from suppliers since there were some questions to sort out with planning the Christmas rush, but the phone was charging by 12, since the weather was holding, but not at the right time.
But for me, it was also quiet enough to actually get money or some of the money prepared to pay at this time, since that was overdue on its own end, which, minus a few more calls, was actually one of the reasons to go. But it was also using the airbags to get the things in this time for it, it worked to squeeze the notes in for sure and like.
Now it was also the key part fforme w, which took longer than I was expecting, and also finally got time to do the posts I needed to finally mention some of the rules. But that and browsing in between some times. But it was also having to rush since of a customer with a digital voice to sort out. I left about 5, and it was drizzling; some texts involved Intel wifi, but that goes later.
Then it was the visit, and actually it was quite a quick one, and luckily I prepared what I needed to for this since it was the key to one of the phones to get in, and it was then planned to swetu;p lsinmce of EE actually working for a change on the site. So that finished.
The Bus Journey
I then actually made my way to the bus station, it was 4 minutes to 6 and turned out the bus was still there. Wahst a stroke of luck, so for me it was a sm, ll queue then £3 to get on and after that, it was the back of the bus and in a familalr sight to see from many a year ago on the antic of the back of the bus, from karoke to having fingers in my ear and being kicked for admitting i hated X factor.
But as it was the bus, it was then time to diagnose Intel drivers' issues on the maibenben via a WhatsApp call, which has either had the board kill 2 Intel wifi cards or the Intel wifi cards suddenly go duff is a weird flex. But that took up most of the journey, which actually was not as hectic a bus ride as I was expecting, but the weather put alot of people off.
But eventually the road was going, and it was also the fact that the bus doesn't stop at the station anymore and goes right by the club scene of Cuba from my olden days. So it was then to get off the bus and make my way to the Hoe.
The Walk up to the Hoe,
So this was then in the drizzle, and to walk my way to the Hoe, since Drakes Circus was semi-busy and also the roads were not too queued, but some parts of it. But I made my way to the other side this time to go via the back of the casino to then access the fairground.
Which, for then, it was time to finally have a look around the fiarground with only 10 minutes remaining until the display begins. The drizzle did make it feel damp and boring, but there were crowds there.

The Display
This then leads to the next few minutes, where the display. This was then to have to lean and look up to. Since the mist was not as bad as last year, but still there. This time it was going to lean. And view the Display. It was nice and suddenly just started, since the rides went silent in the music and jingles. The breeze of the spinning was what was heard, and then the display began; it was only about 14 minutes or so.
The start of it
The red glows
This is the small sparks in the smoke.
More Red glows
The golden sparks
Red and gold in the sky
more red and gold
The sparks like a fountain
The smoke was getting in the way.
Now the golden is shown.
As the display gets brighter
The Final Sparker
So this then leads to the end of the display and the time to look around for the bonfire itself. Since it was then just time to kill and also more money to bank in for the final time for work in 2025. The Fire was roaring but not warming the place up. The sky was a bit clearer, but it was still showing that the crowds were starting to leave.
The Burning Bonfire with the glow of the Tower
The streaks of the Fair
So it was time to get the legs moving to explore the parts of the Fairground, from the rides to even the chance to go to the toilet since I was needing it, though it was scary since of the risk that some guys were hanging abou and could end up shaking the cubicles over and then like one of the Beavis and Butthead movies, have that happen all over so like um not for me. But that didn't, so it was time to make my way back to the city.
Venom is in full swing.

The stalls
So then it was time to walk my way back, past court, and then with the bsck paths to end up near Drake Circus, to then pass through that, to B&M to find my way to getting reeva chicken mash potato pots which a few B&Ms locall have ran out with, but they ddint have any so it was the oppotunijity to get the cream one instead. That and a milka bar to go with 2 cans of Lucozade alert too for £1. The total was not very much at all. The town was quiet by this point, and there was still time left before the train at 9:30.
The bundle for like £4 or so. 2 for £1 on the cans, £0.49 for the mach potato and £1.50 for the Daim Milka
Afttwr thos it was the nice part to actially get money paid into work and this time was not a lost my card panic but it was anogher case of the cash macnine crashed after paying in a fair bit and luckily as i did it in stages it did not lose all the money bug maybe over £100, which the way that bank works its not working to actually report it. But then it was one more time to kill. I wondered and went to a Japanese restaurant to check out the menu, and there was a nice-looking soft waitress with that nice look to her, and she was pondering the question of what could be cooked in 15 minutes, before the train went to, but she said best not to worry, and I left.
Then walked my way back up the middle of the new path to then get to the station and catch the last train home, which i've had to catch a few times this year.
Waiting at the platforms to kill time before it was the train home
The train was nice and not too heaving, some bere alston peeeps but some new faces. It was then to just find a seat since the table ones are not there as much as they used to be. But eventually it was back home before the walk up the hill in the dark to check the fridge out and get home.
The Station, as I started to walk up
The fridge had not been working much, and then it was a case to get home and make time for relaxing. While a late tea of noodles and crisps makes it all better.
The Late tea
So then that covers this, and it's the end of the normal blog posts. Maybe times of the year have gone, and it's the time to plan the end of this and see what has changed so much has, and even I'm not ready for what to expect in the big 2026.
So this was finally here. I'm not prepared, and I'm still finishing a video from the first works championships, but time has its pressure. It's time to finally take a fresh look at it in a new way.
The Day Before:
The morning
We begin with the part of having to sort out a normal-ish day at work, the Windows 11 migration has its moments about and means late night, online work was a backlog, which for this was to bring one laptop. This gives me the chance to prepare for what I was going to go for and how it was. Luckily, I was trying to be focused, and visits that week were cancelled or not happening due to the Fair, which gave me the time to focus on this week. The weather was looking amazing for a change. But I was in no way prepared for how this was; I was still daily in the mode of tasks to sort out which had taken that time. But as time went on, things calmed down, and the traffic was starting to be the end of closing. One person was desperate to pick up one phone, so that meant I was late to leave work.
Eventually, it came to the point where I was feeling like it was one visit to go, and then the event began. It was a contrast to last year, sure, the texting with others, which didnt mess me up for the big event. But after a home visit to a regular, it was then dark and time to make my way to the Fair.

The browsing of the fair
So this was it, I was then busy at the bus station near 7 o'clock to look around the fairground and see what was being prepared for the event. I was then walking down, the stalls getting put up, and the fair was as loud as it ever was. There were fewer crowds on this, which was a surprise this time, and the layout of the rides was a bit different. The helter Skelter was in the middle of the fairground.

As I walked my way, it was time to explore the stalls and get a sneak peek at some of the stalls moving in this year. This time, there were some more gaps as I was looking around the street. It was that preparing buzz and also seeing some of the stalls with the same stuff, but also in different layouts for some of them, which gave a new twist on things.
The view looking towards the town
The food court is being built up.
Looking towards the statue
Then, as I walked towards the end, it was time to look back and walk my way to the main square, to find out what was coming up, since there was some peek as I went to work on the morning of that Tuesday. Which then the square looked to be more, a new mix of stalls compared to other stalls the previous years. Plus, new rides in the car park were a nice touch to go with it.

It was then time to head back to the shop, but before that, I had to go to the op and get some more bits in which for me was to plan the feeling with the planning a bit more in place this time, and the ways to actually get stuff done were the plan here. But Co-op was first in the plan to get some things, since I had water.
The Bottle cost £0.75 if I remember. Then some Orange sticker cookies, which were a nice snack before I got back to the shop to end the vlog. Sine then it was time to get changed and knuckle down for actually editing the Fireworks championship vlog since that was REALLY overdue. But time passed, and it was eventually both videos done. Actually, a 2-hour sleep on the chair stretching out from 6am to about 8:30am or so, if I remember.
The Day:
So this was still a bit of a blur on how things were, and actually, it was better planned than last year. I was up at 8:30am. Which then it was eventually time to get the video uploaded for the night before. Especially with the chance of making sure I was caught up. But then it was ultimately time to get the bit going, and then it was going to be the first step to then get ready to go. The weather was not doing very well, ans the rain was starting to come u, which was for me to get it. But it was time for the vlog to start.
Then it was time to explore the fair, in the rain, to see if anything would be good this time around.
The Exploring
So, we start with fewer stalls by the market road, which was an understanding take with the cost of the living crisis still in effect, which means it will feel like last year will bring fewer stalls in and people will spend a bit less for it. But it was to the point of still being crowded about.
The views of the fair and the crowds looking towards the square
But it was then time to explore the Market, and actually there was much ess there. Likthereit were no birds due to the avian flu, half the stalls were not there, and also there were less of crowds coming up from there, which was the part that really showed it had gone down. But still Calves, beagles and even the learning of the bees were the fun part of this season of Fairs.
Look at some of the stalls left, like only 3
Calves resting
More music performances
But it was then time to head back to the main event, with less traffic on the road and fewer people walking up, it was telling that the market side was slipping in its popularity for sure. But then it was to explore some of the stalls. Although this was still crowded, some popular ones returned, like the Lindt for £6 as well. But I walked up, and it was nice to have the familiar layout and the meats were as popular as ever.

Then it goes to the fun point of the smaller stalls which offer various crafts and specialities this year for the time, like for sure it was new sauces to try, and also it was the luck of the previous to see a FUNNEEL. So that was going to be on the shopping list this time around. It was soon time to think about the way back. Since after this were more jumpers thats were seen before, it was time to finally get myself to look at the fairground once again.

The Fairground:
Then it was time to see the rides and the fun of the main part of this event in its details, with some reason to be had and the fact that it was coming to the side of not as many crowds too. For me, it was quieter this year since the weather failed to stay dry. But it was nice to see some rides before we continued the walk onwards to the strip of stalls for the fair.

Crazy Frog too.

Then it was time to go back to the ground and carry on the journey to explore what was going to be explored.
The Rest of the stalls
I walked up and saw more stalls to carry on with, some more of the crowds were dense, but it was there that how many the different opinions of the vast stalls. The weather was a bit better by this point, but it was still more for the exploration, from the interesting neon style laced shoes to more jewellery to buy.

As it was leading to the food court, it was not too crowded, and it was also like the mix from the music performances in the tent, which was a small group playing, but it wasn't like heaving in this area for sure. The prices of the food were going right up, as they had done in the past few months as well. Once you get past this point, its the semi of the same few stalls you see before it goes to the end with the wooden sculptures. The doughnuts from last year were back again in the same small spot as before, which was nice, but this year was NOT another doughnut that was on the mind here, since later on, it was going to be the time to finally pick the food to have for lunch on Goose Fair Day. Plus, it was also time to purchase things on the way back.

Then it was time to make my way back to actually enjoy it, especially with sauces and chocolates to taste test along the wayWhichch was going to be the change of heart. So it was time to do more taste testing before the crowds to pass by and the Funnels to pay for £3.

Then it was time to decide to explore the square to plan out what we do to then get some lunch sorted, since this was going to be the harder choice of the two. But before this, it was the time of actually some presents to finally sort out. Since it was also the time of getting shortbread for suppliers, and that was 5 smaller boxes for £5, which is a better bargain for sure than the bigger boxes in previous years.
But more Football frames, Lindt Boxes, but smaller on the deals this time compared to last year. But 3 boxes for £10 was the goal done too. So it was my idea of cookies again,n but thats been done before the lunch idea. I did not go this year.

This then led me to try the next best thing, which for me will be the Brownies, so that was my next goal. The brownies cost £4.50, and the Burger was £5.50. Which is about the mark with the cost of food prices in the last few months, it was going to go up too. But then it was time to head back to work and get this sorted.
The Burger for £5.50
The Brownie Burger and the Editing
This then leads to the part of getting on the vlog to finish it off, since the night before was the time to get the vlog sorted. But before that, it was going to be the case to finally make the brownie burger.
The Burger and the Oreo Brownie
The Oreo Burger Brownie
This was amazing in its taste, and it was also easier to make, thanks to the slicing of the brownie, than it was to make. Then, it was time to eat it, and it did fill me nicely and easily, too.
The Selfie before eating the burger
The Selfie after finishing the brownie burger
It was then the case in the point of editing to sort out the vlogs, which for the next few hours will be backlogged to finish up with, and also it was the time for this. Now,u use the time of what happens, it was the next few hours of this. Which eventually is nearing 7:30pm. Which then was the time for the evening vlog to get to the next level. level
The Evening:
Well, it was then time for the night vlog to go on. This was a drier night, which had some new bits, which was nice in the evening compared but it was a quiet time. For this, it makes sense to explore and get the final bits before the night ends.
It was then that To explored the streets. Which, for me, had its vibe of the same but it's also the fact that the lights and sounds make it feel better than the day.
The Stalls by the square
This was the difference to go by the river to start from the fair this time and make my way up the stalls from that way, which the pasth was busy and also the rides were blasting as normal with the sighs and sounds.

Which the. It was the time to finally rejoin the stalls and explore the last deals of stills that were not passing up, a nd also the various things from labubu keychains to the famous gothic shirts that return each year, with rucksacks to boot.

But then it was passing the food court, which was not much there and shortly after it was to the peak of the place by the roundabout, which by then it was my time to turn back and get some various gifts. This time it was something nice and small before getting towards the square again to look at the Rides and the stalls packing up.
The crowds clear when heading towards the bus station.

Looking Back at the Roundabout
As it was nearing the last hour, it was time to find somewhere cheap to get some dinner, which my jounrye was up and down the stalls vut iut ecen v ended up going to West Street to then get some spicy spuds or kebabsa or something like that but even the cheaper there was over the change i had left after the spoewnt out from the day morning shopping of the fair itself. But this was short-lived on the price. So it was time to walk back to the co-op for one final time before going back to the shop to end the day. Night.
West Street in a blurry view
The barriers in front of Sjzzler
Then with co cop of small bits like a 2L bottle of water and a sausage roll, I made my way back to the shop, to end the vlog there that day, which by then was near 9 9pmn narn as the week sunned ut wasn't too hot, but the faiur was winding down after the 9omn pm.
Once that was done, it was time to settle down, and like have the biox os shortvread just the one biox fior the nmeak if kunch thtsas niufht,

The night was long, a nd I crashed out about 1am, which then waking up from 3am from a text message from Chloe regarding meeting up was a big shock. I was not expecting it, but explained about the past and never replied ever since.
Then it was time to go to sleep for real until 8am, and then video editing from there to finish off Thursday. Sinin between then was more negativity from some, the traffic caused road closures, which actually meant I could have had a later bus home from another, and also it was trying to finish off the vlog with editing the night, which ended up taking a LONG time to sort out.
The Last Day: Saturday
So it's Saturday, and actually, it was a quiet-ish day with some repairs to sort out. But it was also the time of the same person I had to visit on Tuesday night, who was the one to set up again. But it was also the time of taking the bike to work. But at the end of it. The night vlog was the key, and actually, it was packing up more quickly than I imagined.
Look around.
So I was walking back down to the car park. After going from the top of the town in the lovely moonlit sky. And it was nice, like it felt fresh, the Rides were not blasting as much as they seemed, and also it felt like a calm end to this chaotic week of fair stalls and food. But the glows are there, and some riders.

The Freak Out
Then it was time to sort out the bits to grab, so another batch of Doughnuts to buy, as well as the issue of some Honeycomb bits, which are like more boulders of Cadbury Crunchie.
The doughnuts and the Honeycomb bits, which cost something I forgot now, but nearly £10 for this.
Then it was starting to head my way back, which, when passing Bedford, I got a text from someone i've been feeding, and it was the 3 words as usual.
So that was me and another voucher to sort out. Then it was time to finally leave and cycle back home
Then that was it, the Goose Fair saga ended, and well it was to continue life as normal
